The California Medicine Co. '8 tent
waa filled to its utmost capacity last
evening. The entertainment was up
to to the highest expectations. It is
easily seen that the manager Billle
Banks understands how to cater to
the theatre going peopla from the
company he has selected. The danc
ing is good the songs new and catchy.
McDonnell and Banks the Irish sena-
tors kept the house in an uproar of
laughter from the time they came on
the stage. The Dempsey's are a first-
class sketch team. Mrs. Laura Banks
California's favorite contralto also
received great applause. The show
as a whole is first-class in every partic-
ular. Oklahoman.

Frank Smith who is camped in the
south part of town last Wednesday
night hitched his horse in front of
Connelle's shoe shop on Main
street and on poinji back to that
place found horse saddle and bridle
gone. They remained gone until Fri-
day afternoon when he found his
property two and a half miles west of
town where the horse and accoutre-
ments had been taken up by Mr.
Elliott's son-in-law. The gentleman
finding the property came to the
Ardmokeite office Friday with a
Tiew to advertising it but because he
could not describe same he returned
home for tin' purpose of closer obser-
vation. Before he had returned the
owner put in an appearance to adver-
tise his loss. Right here proceedings
were stopped by Mr. Smith being
Informed where he could probably
find what he had lost. On going out
there imagine his delight to ascertain
that it was true.
He says he feels certain from the
condition of his horse that whoever
appropriated him rode him a consid-
erable distance ia a short period of
time and abandoned him and that
when taken up he was making for
home. It not only pays to advertise
out it sometimes results payingly as
iu this instance to even talk about
