DOING VERY WELL.
Bose Jamea not Seriously Wounded - His
Story of the Affair-No Arrests
Have Been Made.
Bose James the negro shot Friday
by Loftus is doing very nicely and
will recover. On examination of his
injuries Dr. Carr found that he had
received wounds on the leg and body
from bird shot one through and
through the body from a Winchester
and several on the arm body and
head from blows.
James claims there were throe
parties shooting at him and th.it
after he was downed they fell upon
and beat him. The bruises indicate
the truthfulness of his statement.
He says no'hing about his own
actions in the premises.
Owing to the fact that all parties
concerned claim Indian freedman
citizenship no arrests by the Paris
authorities have or will be made. It
is claimed if there is any prosecution
it will be in the Indian courts.

place they played hist night.
I'ncle Josh Spruceby and hisclever
company appeared at the opera
house last night in the melodrama
bearing the name of its leading his-
: trionic character. The play through-
out together with the specialties
was all that could have been expect-
ed by the most fastidious while the
: orchestra was among the very best
that has ever visited this city.
Burt Hodgkins as I'ncle Josh was
splendid in fact the same can he
truthfully said of his entire support.
The saw mill scene may well he
classed as among the grandest and
most realistic ever presented on the
stage. It alone was worth the price
of admission.
The Sacred concert this afternoon
by the orchestra and company
promises to be a most interesting
affair and we .rist a full house will
be in attendance.
