- Content Description: Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "Historians say the Splitlog Church about nine miles northeast of Grove in Delaware Co. may be the only structure of its kind in the country built by an Indian with his own funds. In 1897, Mathias Splitlog, half Cayugan and half French by ancestry, built and dedicated the church. He and his wife, Eliza, are buried in the churchyard."
