- Content Description: Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma Times newspaper. Caption: "Pfc. Danny L. Parker, former "mayor for a day" in Oklahoma City, was killed June 6 in Vietnam. Parker, 22, had occupied the mayor's chair for a day in November 1965, during his senior year at U. S. Grant H.S., as part of the YMCA's annual "Youth and Citizenship Week" program. The native of Freeport, Texas, had attended OU and Central State College before entering the Army in 1968. (Copy of an original photo, orig. date unknown)"
