Can you state definitely the value of music in the home? Probably it would be best to say it cannot be over estimated.
And that music exerts an everlasting influence for good over us goes without saying. No matter if it be the sweet lullaby of
the mother as she rocks the infant to sleep, or in later years when the family has a re-union, and all gather round the old
folks and sing the old time airs, music has a charm all its own.
This paper will place in some home, at the close of its grand voting contest, a beautiful piano, of which any expert might
be real proud. The lady receiving the largest number of votes will be given the piano without having invested a nickel.
The piano is now on exhibition at the Madden-Nally drug store, and the public is invited to examine it. That will show
its fine finish, beautiful tone and general fine make-up. It will make a magnificent present.
Remember, you get 500 votes with every paid subscription. With every paid subscription, to one address, for $2 you get 1200 votes: for $3 you get 2500, and for more than $3 you
get 1000 votes for each dollar paid. New subscriptions, renewals and delinquents all count. Each candidate receives a cash prize, if she gets as many as fifteen subscribers.
