The circular issued from. Republican
headquarters denying the allegations
set forth in sworn affidavits dated some
two yean ago, is about the weekeet
thing it has ever been my pleasure to
read. Ferguson is either guilty or not
guilty. If he is not guilty he should
nave brought to justice the parties who
signed the affidavits. He acknowledges
that he wee aware of their existence
and also aware of the parties who made
them. The names seemed to be famil-
procured to repeat on election day and
the coler and character of the individual.
He says that they were procured by
the American Book Co. Our informa-
tion is that the American Book Co. is a
friend of ForgUMa. He allowed them
to use hie editorial apace at ten cents
per line. Will the gentleman please
state just whan he feu out with the Am-
erican Book Co. and for what reason
that giant corporation severed its rela-
tions with its trusted hireling? Wear*
aware that the offense of repeating Is
a crime against the laws of thecouatry.
We are awe aware that the period dur

Nervous
Indigestion
The action of diges^
tion* is controlled by
nerves leading to the
stomach. When they are
weak, the stofnach is de-
prived of its energy. It
has no power to do its
work. If you want per-
manent relief, you must
restdre this energy. Dr.
Miles’ Nervine restores
nervous energy, and gives
>le to the law for
perjury. In this respect
_______ulind leading, the blind,
but we propose to guard the sac redness
and purity of the ballot, as that is the
foundation of this republic. And it
matters not to us that Mr. Ferguson
has held a position of honor and trust
under the government of the United
States. We propose to dsal with him
the same as we would with any other
criminal. We have been aware fora
a long time that he could not look his
fellow citizen in the face but cowered
when meeting the gaze ef the honest,
American citizen. It did not occur to
us that he was a criminal in the eyes of
the law but it seems that such is the
case. We are not aware that the affi-
davits sworn to and charging the gen-
tleman with the crime of repeating were
signed by negroes, and the only infor-
mation which we have to that effect at
this time, is the circular prepared last
night at the dead hour Of midnight,
while honest men slept, offering an
apology for the crime committed, and
stating that a bunch of drunken negroes
had added to their crime of repeating
by the crime of perjury. You charge
Mr. Fulton with being responsible for
the publication of the affidavits. Your
allegation is false. His campaign man-
ager, who is well known Xo you, as-
sumes all the responsibility for the pub-
lication and throws the glove at the
feet of you and your jackals and says,
‘lay on McDuff, and damned be he who

STATE FAIR.
No event or attraction ever held
in the state will so interest and profit
the farmer, the- stock raiser, the
‘ruit grower and the public in gen
eral as the great State Fair of Ok-
lahoma which will be held October
5 to 16, at Oklahoma City.
The Fair is for all the people and
is for the public good, and while or
ganization is necessary to handle,
details, the people will make th#
show.
This great exposition should re
ceive the hearty co-operation and
active aid of every patriotic citizen.
We well know the excellence of
the products of our county, but our
resources and advantages are not
so well knowq all over the state and
we must not idiss this opportunity
to show what we have.
Mr. E. L. Hotchkiss, of Watonga,
is vice-president for this county and
he is taking great interest in work-
ing up enthusiasm and in securing
exhibits from this county.
During the Fair, people not only
from every part of our own state
but from all over the great south-
west, will be in attendance and we
must show them that our county
ranks with the best in the state.
A large quantity of advertising
matter, setting forth the resources
and advantages of locating here,
should be distributed at this great
gathering.
We must have an exhibit that will
do our county justice, so let every-
one help to make our county exhibi:
