—Charley Ford unexpectedly found
himself in a wolf chase Monday morn-
ing. While out feeding his cattle his
greyhounds chased a coyote near
where he was at work and near which
place the dogs downed the coyote but
it required Charley’s help with a club
to kill him.
FOR SUNDAY MAIL
An effort is being made now all
along the line-of H. & S. branch of
the Santa Fe for a Sunday mail
train. It is an important matter
(one that Manchester through J.
W. Smith tried to get started on
two or three occasions before) and
now we hope there will be no letup
until the train is put on.

showcase will be filled with baby
pictures. Don’t fail to see them, and
bring your baby along and have a
picture taken. The gallery at Man-
chester is open every Tuesday.
—Missouri apples, hand picked and
assorted, the best car of apples that
has been on the market here this fall,
will be at Manchester next Monday
morning, November 22, and the apples
will be sold in five bushel lots or more
at 81.20 per tushe).

—J. C. Collins, undersherifT, was
here Tuesday summonsing petit jurors
for the district court which is now in
session at Medford. A. E. Deere and
J. M. Simmons were the only two
jurors from Manchester Village. They
went to Medford Wednesday.
—Theopen season for shooting quai1
commenced last Monday, but yon
must have permission to shoot on the
farm of another and must also have
license in your pocket when you are
hunting. Sunday shooting Is subject
to both fine and Imprisonment in the
county jail, so it's best to cut out
Sunday shooting.

chased a new four-cylinder Richmond
automobile.
