On Saturday afternoon over 100
quests assembled in the house and
shady yard of Mr. Geo. Thrasher,
at Winnyiew, to celebrate the NOth
birtjiday of his wife’s mother, Mrs.
Margaret Gibbons, who is making
her home at his place. Ice cream
and cake were served, songs were
sung and gifts presented to the
elderly sister.
Mrs. Gibbons came from Paris,III.,
a few years ago and has very great-
ly endeared herself to the neighbor-
hood by her sweet disposition and
gentle ways. She is still young in
spirit and a very devoted church
member.
Reunion and* dedication services
were in progress at the Winnview
Presbyterian church enabling sev-
eral ministers from different dis-
tricts to be present, viz: Rev. Mr.
Ward, of Watonga, Rev. Mr. Hutch-
inson, of Geary, Rev. Mr. Noss of
El Reno and the home pastor, Mr.
G. V. Albertson. This made the
occasion still more cheery and the
