The water lmd backed up east of

washed uut. This occurred late
in the evening and tho rush of
the water, when the break came,
soon sent those along tho low sides
of the draw to higher ground, it
soon run down however without
oauiitg much damage and is
now referred to as being a good

An explosion bf a Lamp at the
school house was barely avoided
last Thursday. As the Farmer’s
Union was to be in session, two
well known men came early and,
noticing that there would not be
enough kerosene in the lamp they
proceeded to fill it, one holding it
while tlie other filled it from the
oil can. When half full, a few
drops fell on the others hand and,
perhaps from a similar experience,
instantly recognized gasoline.
Election of new officers will take
place next Sunday. Everybody
who is interested in the Sunday
School work are requested to be
present.
