This is the advice of the Sig-
nal-Star but then of course the
Board after all will do as it pleas-
es and it is the duty of every cit-
izen of Snyder to assist them in
every way possible, to give the

a thankless one as the outgoing
Hoard found it and at the best
they may expect “to be damned
if they do and to be damned if
they don’t” and for this reason
they should have the sympathy
and moral support of the best

man coaches, a Pullman dining
car and two baggage cars.

Leger and other western towm
met the party here.

The reins of the town govern-
ment are in the hands of the new
administration and it is up to

and united with the Duptiat
church in McFull, Missouri. 8hi
was a consistent member until
ieath. She was an unusually
sweet spirited young woman. She
was married to Albertus O. A.x-
tell by Uev. Dillon of the Baptist
church in McFull, Missouri. Cami
to Oklahoma March 16, 1904.
Died May 9, 1901, leaving a babi
three months old. Her funeral,
which was preached by the writer,
was attended by numerous friends

either of these extremists. A
(town must be run for all the peo-
ple and not for one little class.
Churches are right in the main
and should be fully protected but
it is not safe for any administra-
tion to undertake to run their town
on the strict Sunday plan- On
the other hand saioons qs long as
licensed by law are an institution
which you can't get away from,
churches or no churches, but it is
far more dangerous ior an admin
istration to put itself blindly in
the hands of the saloon class.
Give*them an inch and they al-
ways want a foot of rope and in
Borne instances a whole yard. So
the only thing to do is to run the
town on the plan of equal priv-
ileges to all and no special privi-
leges to any. Enforce the law as

marshal. Mr. Gilbert has been
night watch for several months
and has given general satisfac-
tion.

Town Attorney.
The newly selected staff are all
active capable men and will make
good officers.
