Caption: "Circus tickets draw a happy crowd around Johnny Mayfield outside the Eastside YMCA. Mayfield, often referred to as the "best cook in Oklahoma City," after many years as chef at Patio Restaurant, volunteers at the YMCA, and talked regular restaurant customers out of the tickets, then will load up these kids into his car and later take them to the circus. Mayfield died at age 37 of complications from cancer." A group of people gather around man handing out tickets.
