Four Dead
The east bound Fr’sco train vas
derailed about seven miles east of
Stroud at 1 :40 a m last Saturday
causing one of the worst wrecks that
have occurred in this part of the
state, causing four deaths and a
numoer of injuries. The dead are :
H. D. Harrison, fireman of Sapul-

W. H. Posten, mail cDrk of
Monett Mo.
Frank Gipson of Canadian Texas.
F. G. Dagdon, mail clerk, of Ok-
lahoma City.
So ue of the injured are: L. B.
Braduon, express messenger, of Ok-
lahoma City ;two ribs broken, spine
fractured and internally injured.
Frank Martin, engineer of Okla-
noma City, seriously bruised will re-
cover.

Monett Mo.
James West, Bristow, Okla. back
sprained.
Mildred Ashford, 24 years old, of
Luther, Okla, cut on head.
E. Evans, porter, of Chandler O.
A nut on the track is supposed to
have derailed the tender just as the
train, running at a high rate of
speed, was approaching the bridge
over Spring Creek. The engine left
the track while on the bridge and
plunged forty feet below dragging
with it the combination mail and
baggage car agid the smoker.
