week visiting his children and
looking after his farm in the
Rock community.
C. E. Woolf who has been at
Mexia, Texas, for the past
month was called home on ac-
count of the illness of his baby.
He wilf return to the oil fields in
a few days where he is employ*
ed as a driller.
According to a pursual of the
advertisements in the Times
Duke has no dry goods store.
Is it any wonder that so much
business in this line is done at
other towns? The answer is
simple to those who read.
Hardy and Delma demons
left the latter part of last week I
for Edmond where they willj
spend the summer in school.
Both young men were students
in the Duke HighSchoolthe
past term.
Several' young people of this
place drove over to Victory ^at-

that wts scheduled to be pre-
sented that night, but a rain
storm came up and the play was
postponed to another date.
Sol Anderson and family, ac-
companied by a brother of Mr.
Anderson who is here from In-
diana, left Monday morning far
Western Texas and New Mexi-
co where they will spend sever
al days looking over the coun
try and visiting relatives.

Section 1. That there are

be issued the negotiable ooupon
bonds of said town, in accord-
ance with the form ae hereinafter
set out, in the aggregate amount
of Twenty Thousand Dollars,
which said bonds shall be de>
signated "Water Works Exten*
sion Bonds of 1922, and shall be
twenty in number, numbered
from one to twenty, both inclu-
sive, of the denomination of
One Thousand Dollars each;
shall be dated June 1st, 1922,
and become due and payable
June 1st, 1947 and bear interest
from their date until paid at the
rate of six pet- centum per annum
payable semi-annually on tbe
first day of June and December,
each year, except the first
coupon shall mature on the 1st
day of June, 1923, which install
ments of interest to the date of
maturity of principal shall be
evidenced by appropriate cou-
pons attached to each of said
bonds, and both principal and
interest shall be payable in law-
ful money of tbe United States
of America, at the Fiscal Agency
of the State of Oklahoma, in the
City of New York, State of New
York, or, in the event of the dis-
continuance of such agency
then at the Mechanics 4 Metals
National Bank, in said City and
State of New York.
Section 2. That each of said
bonds, the coupons thereto at-
tached, and tbe endorsements
and certificates thereon shall be
in substantially the following
