Blaze Yesterday
The ice house caught on fire
yesterday fmorning and within
forty minutes was totally con
sjmed. Besides the building a
small consignment of canned
goods which had been stored
there was also burned. On ac-
count of the nearness of thf
building to a [gasoline tank fire
fighters were slow in volunteer-
ing their services.
Starting a Telephone Talk
WHEN you have called for a number on the tele-
phone and you hear a voice say, "This is So
and so, Mr. Such and Such speaking," you know
at once whether you have the right number or not.
On the contrary, if the voice says "Hello! Hello!"
you are in the dark, and you are obliged to waste time
in asking.
When called to the telephone always * introduce
yourself at once. It saves all preliminary question-
ing. and avoids confusion.
