Rslfently Dr. Harvey W. Wiley
the noted pure food expert who is
now angaged in extending his
teachings through the medium of
a magazine, communicated to the
State Food Divieion the result of
a poll of women of Oklahoma on
several aubjects of vital import-
ance to public health. He asked
that the women vote for the food
reform moat desired. Among the
number suggested were inspec-
tion of all meat supplies and the
wrapping of individual leaves of
bread at the bakery. The re-
turns from Oklahoma show a de-
cided majority in favor ef bread
wrapping. This reform has with-
in a year, become almost nation
wide. Within the past Jfew
weeks a woBans club in Okla-
homa voted to boycott bakara in
their town unless they wrapped
bread in parafine coated paper
immediately after baking. The
tine is coning when wrapped —^—
