THE ORLANDO CLIPPER.
Vol, I.
FRIDAY,
Orlando, Logan County, Oklahoma, March 8, 1907.
FRIDAY.
No. 16
To The Farmers Around
Orlando.
The most of you know by this time
that the Farmers Creamery Company
is going to be a sure thing 1 he ma-
chinery is all bought and we expect to
l.ave it in running order by April is .
I will state further for those that have
no separator of their own th-t we will
have one installed that will take care
of all milk coming in.
You all know in starting anything of
this kind it takes a lot of work and
money to get the business started, and
the directors elected for this term have
done all you could expect frum them,
but they have done it cheerfully wi h
out compensation and will do so in the
future if you stand by them. There-
fore farmers around Orlando, stick to-
gether for once in your life and join
us. If you do so I will insure you its
got to be a success right in the start,
but if some of you say, well yes, I will
join if 1 see the thing is going to be a
money making concern. Let me tell
you, Brother, that will never do. You
all know the old saying: '-United we
stand, divided we fall," and that is
true in more than one sense :n this
proposition.
If you let the Creamery Combine
break up their company you will never
get another of this kind started in Or-
lando. and you will be at their mercv
thereafter. You all knew what that
means. They will probably try to get
pitrons here and will offer ycu a high-
er price in the start. But let me tell
you frankly, don't look at a few cents
now but look in the future and m ike
yourself safe by joining the Farmer's
Creamery and stick to them and the
success is ours.
We only sell one share to each
stockholder of $io:oo a share and we
expect every one that sells milk or
cream to take one. Now you all
know we directors have our farms to
be taken care of and you can not ex-
pect us to be canvasing all over the
country for new subscribers, Please
make it as easy for us as you can and
come yourself and subscribe. Our
Banker or any of the Directors will
gladly take them.
In conclusion I want to say a few
words to cur Merchants in Orlando,
Yow all know what a big thing that
cream or milk is to us farmers if we
get all there is in it. Now all or near-
ly all goes to our merchants and you
will derive as much benefit from it as
we do. Now we ask you kindly, give
us your help and advice. It will be
gladly taken and we assure you we will
not forget you in the end. Yours
truly J M. Prollocks, Sec.
Prof Roy C. Potts of the A. & M.
college, chief of Dairy Industry, Prof.
W. L. Inglish, ceief of animal industry
and Prof. John Fields, of Oklahoma
City, and other noted speakers who
are interested will be at Orlando, on
March 9 I907, and deliver speaches
foi the benefit of the farmers of this
locality, Everybody try to be present
and hear what these gentlemen have to
tell you on the subject of dairying and
