Having once had a taste of the
m business, Gua Howerton
MMiiy drifted back into it- Lait
night Mr- Howerton repiMionting
what will be known as The Horn
inv National Gaa Company secur
eu the subiniiuiion of an ordin
ance to the voters of Hominy
granting hitn apd his asiociat s
franchiKe to furnish natural ga«
to that city and its people-
Mr- Howerton has contract'd
with Whife, Eufer & St- Clai
for an adequate supply of ga
to be furnished at a point sev
en miles northwest of Hominy
At this same time and placc
Mr- Henry Asking secured th
submission of a franchise grant
ing to himself and associates the
privilege of furnishing ice, elec
trie lights and power this latter
company would be known as the
Hominy Ice, Light and Power
Company.
This is another indication of
the great strides Cushing ha
taken whety her capitalists sue
cessfully competed with the cap
italists of other older cities
Messrs Howerton and Askins bot
had strong competition- Thus suc-
cess is an evidence of their abil

She's what you chop wood for.
She's what feeds you-

She keeps care of you-
She's who is good to you-
She's your creator.
