A WISE SAYING
An engine does not run teday because
there was a fire, and steam, in it yes-
terday. Nor does it run because its a
good engine—the best in the railroad
yards; n6r because people are in the
habit of seeing it run, and know tkat
it can run. The fireman has to build a
fire in it TODAY if it is to be useful
today. A store is not a busy store un-
less it is advertised today. It's not
busy because it is "well known," ner
because it is a good store, and well
located. It 'goes' because of the pub-
licity steam that is gotten up TODAY.
