PANIC AMONG FARMERS
OVER CATTLE MARKET
Chicago— A half fed inferior grade
of cattle are being rushed to the
stock yards from all parts of the
country by panic stricken farmers,
causing demoralization of the cattle
market, according to Albert Baker
head of the government bureau of
markets here. Baker appealed to the
farmers to stem the tide. Farmers
I Baker said, are becoming panicky
because of timidity over the future
livestock prices and are unloading
underweight stock on the market
which has caused the wide break in
prices.
