Home Patronage
Ths Enid Events published the
following splendid article which
will apply also to our own town
of Crescent:
"The home store is one of tbcf
conveniences and public services
of the town. A place may have
good strei ts, schools and lights. I
y't if its stores are. oehmd the
gime, the whole community suf«
f M«. The pub ic is inc.onvenien- I
cad and put to serious expense |
to supply itsilf with necessities.
There are some people who al-
ways patronize distant stmesl
for a I 1 important purchases.
But in an emergency, they run|
to the home store with some tri-
lling order. '! hen they blame I
the merchant if lie does not b*ve |
as complete a stock as a tnatro
politan store would carry.
Such people are not doing |
their share to build up their com-
munity. They are pursuing a
policy which, if adopted by every I
one would effect valuation of all |
rea) estate and impair.the facili-
ties for good community liv.ng. I
The merchant can do his sbarel
toward making this an up to-datel
town, only bv thesoirit of loval|
support from his townpeople.'
