"Mistakes sometimes savor of a
tragedy." says the Chefryvale Journal.
"Many of the telephone wires were
put in bad order by the electric storm,
and this morning many wires were
crossed. A woman telephoning her
grocer was answered by an extremely
pleasant, even honeyed voice. She
started to give her order when the
voice explained that this wasn't the
grocery, it was Mr. Blank. 'Who is [
this talking?' he inquired flirtatiously
'Your wife,'came in acid tones from!
the other end, 'and please bring that
unusually sweet voice home with you
at noon."
