Monday and Tuesday this re
gion was has . g in vcrnal'sun-
shine and soft zephyr*. Fires
went out. doors opened, coats
came otT and iwimer seemed a
thing of the past. Ho a- nice!
But you can't rush the season
or guess the weather in Okla-
homa. Between midnight and
morning Tuesday night the wind
shifted to the north and Wednes-
day m ming was blow ing a full
weight norther (April though it
be) and the winter king again
reigned supreme. Fires were
rekindled on the hearths and
overcoats and cloaks were much
ill-evidence on the streets.
It was a little too late in the

folks feel mighty uncomfortable,
especially those misguided ones
who had changed into the.r sum-
mer underwear.
