I enjoyed a liberal patronage last year, for
which I am very thankful.
I am still doing business at the same old site
and would be slad to see all my customers back
again this fall and as many others as feellike they
could share their patronage with me.
I am also in the market for cotton; will buy
either before or after it is ginned, and will make
it to your interest to see me before Ginning or
Disposing of your cotton.

Do You Know How to Vote?
There seems to be considerable
misunderstanding over the state
as *o the manner of voting un-
der the election law now in
force and Chairman Harris of
the Republican State Committee
is daily receiving inquiries as to
manner of voting a straight tick-
et and also the procedure when
a person desires to vote for per-
sons on two or more tickets
The state ballots will contain
the tickets of four political par-
ties—Democratic, Republican,
Socialist and Prohibition, in the
order mentioned, running in
seperate columns from left to
right.
Any person desiring to vote a
straight party ticket will stamp
in the circle under the device
which heads the ticket of the
party with which he desires to
vote, the democratic ticket hav-
ing a rooster at the top, the re-
publican an eagle, the socialist
an open hand and the prohibitior.
I
Very Respectfully,
H. T. Kimbel,
Blair - - -
elector has stamped before tlw>
names of candidates for the same
office upon the ticket of <ome
other party, the vote to be coun-
ted for candidates so stamped
Voters should be careful to
never starmp in the circle uni.er
the device of more than oi.e
party as this will invalidate the
whole ballot and cause it to be
thrown out as mutilated.
Another way of voting a mixed
ticket is not to stamp under «n>
of the device* tut to stamp ir
the square before the name <•'
each candidate for whom on'
desires' to vote. A ballot t><
stamped will be counted foreacl
candidate so stamped but in cas<
the voter stamps before two or
more candidates for the same
office the ballot shall not be
counted as to these candidates.
