HOLD YOUR WHEAT
The pr ce of wheat is bound to be forced down
riiht at threshing time. This is caused partly by the
manipulation of prices, f>ut mostly by the large per
cert of wheat which is sold directly from the machine,
thus causing to a certain extent an over supply for a
few weeks.

Cook
Consumes Only Half The
Oil Other Makes Do
It is not reasonable to assume that one make of
oil stove will consume about twice the amount of oil
that is consumed by the Simmons, but the following
tests were made as follows:
The Simmons tank with oil was carefully weigh-
ed, match applied to three burners, and allowed to
burn one hour and flame turned out. Tank with oil
was ieweighed and the scale showed a loss in weight
of twelve ounces, which would indicate that twelve
ounces of oil was consumed in three burners in one
hour, or four ounces of oil in one burner in one hour.
The same method was pursued in testing out the
other make with the following results, that three burn-
ers consumed twenty-two ounces of oil in one hour or
seven and one-third ounces of oil in one burner in one
hour. Nearly twice the amount consumed in the
Simmons Stove.
