Oles couldn't be elected town treas-
urer and he couldn't be elected stain
treasurer, but he knew how to work
the socialists. He's still working
them—also some Democrats and Re-
publicans.
He just succeeded in getting a num-
ber of our business men to put up the
money to pay for the socialist en-
campment to be held here in AugusL
Now It's all right for the socialists
to hold their meetings, but the ques-
tion is—How muc'n should the Demo-
crats and Republicans pay toward the
expenses?
Stofer led the flpst against the
bankers contributing to the demo-
cratic campaign last year. He clr
culated literature all over the country
against the method. But Stofer 1.*
very glad to get the banker's money
this year to conduct his campaign.
Now he is hitting up the bankers.
Sinners, lumbermen, druggists, dry
goodsmen, hardware men and all
classes of merchants in order that he
and the socialists may have their
camp-meeting to lambast both of tha
old parties.
The same plan that was put In'.o
effect here is being u'ed at all 10
places. If Snyder contributed $131
and each of the 40 places gave liks
sums, you democrats have contribu-
ted $6000 to the socialists' campaign
fund. WHY DID YOU DO IT? We
told you last week thev had plenty
of monev. They didn't deny it.
Mr. Business Men, now bad do yon
want the sociali«ts' trade? Have
you ever paid a delnocrat to trade
with yo:i? Have you ever paid a re-
publican to trade with you? Why
don't you hang out a sisn—"We cater
especially to the socialist trade.".
"Socialists we want your trade ho
bad we are willing to buy It.' ?
How much did you give? Whv did
you give it?—'Kiowa County Demo-
crat.
