NEW SCHEDULE ON NORTHWES-

Last Thursday the Northwestern
made a change in the passenger sche-
dule clear through from Wichita Falls
to Woodward, on two trains only,
•viz: Nos. 3 and 4.
No. 3, northbound, formerly aril-
ved here about 8:30; now its time
Is 9:10, a. m., while No. 4, south-
bound, hertofore due about 6 o'clock
now arrives at 4:55.
These changes make for this train
wihat Is now practically an all-day
run and In consequence the sleeper
has been taken off this division and
only run between Wichita Falls and
Dallas.

1. Any school of Greer county
paying the required fees will be ad'
mitted to membership and entitled
to participate as hereinafter prescrih.

in each event, if desired.
3. All contestants shall have been
enrolled in school from which they
enter 40 dayB previous to the meet,

the 10th grade is eligible to enter
any event.
5. The events shall be as follows:
50 yard dash.
100 yard dash.
220 yard dash,
440 yard dash.
880 yard dash.
Running broad jump.
Standing broad jump.
One mile run.
Discus throw.
Running high jump.
One mile bicycle run.
One mile relay race (4*runners.)
Half mile relay race (4 runners.)
6. Names of students entered from
various schools shall be filed with
secretary not later than April 28.
7. Baseball and basketball teams
wishing to compete for county cham-
pionship must on or before April 28
place with th« executive committee
a list of names of teams defeated
these reports furnishing a basis for
the teams that contest in the Athlet-
ic Meet for championship. Basket
ball refers to both boys' and girl'
teams. (Spalding rules to be official.
8. Every lady teacher of this coun-
ty Is appointed as a special member
of committee on providing dinner for
a general spread.

After Mangum Camp W. O. W.
closed its regular session Thursday
night, a number of the ladies of the
Grove were admitted by special
agreement, all present began tO en
deavor to exemplify the true spirit of
fraternalism. There had been no pro-
gram formulated as the idea prevail
ed for an informal social gathering.
However, as we had with us two very
prominent members of the order they
were as'«?d to give short addresses.
Mrs. W. S. Bradshaw, state organ!
zer of the Circle, made one of the
pleasant home talks, giving some very
pointed thoughts on Woodcraft. She
told us that Woodcraft represented
Old Line life insurance—traternali
zed. The other speaker was Sov.
Harp of Elmer, deputy of the dis-
trict. As a result of his speech we
voted to work for a large county class
here in next June. The meeting then
formed into an old time "Spelling
Be." Mrs. Bradshaw gave out from
the Blue Back Speller. Mrs. Carpen
ter and Mr. Ix>ngmire chose sides,
and there was some pretty live spell
ing for about 30 minutes. Mr. Long
mire's side won out by a close race
A committee consisting of Mesdames
Bradshaw, J. T. Howard. Messers.
Hogan and L A. McCollister were ap-
pointed to prepare a program for the
next united effort, to come off the
15th of May. All choppers please re-
