thus expressed by the Greensooro Tel-

Immediately after dissolution of the
partnership of Garrett & Evans, Mr.
Evans, more comomnly known as the
Arkansas Lawyer, has been agreeably
surprised by having more legal busi-
ness at his office than any man could
property handle. Through an adver-
tisement he has located one of his
young attorney friend, Hon. W. S.
Paden, who was reared in the same
community with him when they were
small boys, and who entered the study
of the legal profession about the same
time. We understand that they have
closed a partnership and Mr. Paden,
the new partner will make Mangum
his home hereafter.
The Star predicts grea: success for
the new Arkansw firm, basing this
upon the success Mr. Evans has made
as an attorney since be has resided at
Mangum and been engaged in the
practice of his profession here. Mr.
Evans has possibly more business In
bis line than any other firm at Man-
gum, and with the assistance of his
new partner, who comes well recom-
mended. we have no doubt but that
the Arkansaw firm will do a good bu-
siness.
