be worked on occasionally to keep it
in running order. There is no better
time than the winter and early spring
months for this -work.

CAR BURNED
Jess Mitchell's Buick car burned
last Friday evening as it was being
driven by George, his nephew along
the highway west of Mangum. The
cause of the fire is hard to determine.
The fire occured near the Dutchman's
Hill west of town and the first known
of the fire was a hot feeling at
George's back. He tried to fight the
fire out with his hat but failed and
quit the car. It was a new Buick, only
run about two months.

RENEW STALLION LICENSE
Since the breeding season is near at
hand, stallion and jack owners should
obtain their 1922 licenses immediate-
ly. If application is sent in at this
time, it will be possible to issue the
licenses promptly but if it is delayed
until March 1, there is bound to b«
considerable delay on account of the
fact that so many applications will be
coming in at that time. Application
blanks have been mailed to owners of
stallions and jack licensed in 1921.
New owners can secure application
blanks by addressing the Oklahoma
State Livestock Registry Board, Still-
water, Oklahoma.
