STATE REFORM
TORY AT
GRANITE
The reformatory, or more strict-
ly speaking, the prison of our
state, does not give one pleasure
to be shown through, but all who
have the chance should visit it as
it is interesting.
At this time there are 224 in-
mates and many are under heavy
sentences. For instance—one boy
was in for forty years—bank rob-
bery was his crime.
Among the criminals are some
fine looking boys and others who
look as though they might com-
mit any crime.
We notice with pleasure that the
state does not compel them to
wear stripes, unless—wtll, unless

The premium list for the New.
State Fair at Muskogee shows
that a total of over $1,300 in cash
prizes, besides some merchandise
prizes are offered members of the
U. S. Department of Agriculture
Clubs. In the corn club 122 cash
prizes rangiing from $1.00 to $50.00
each will be apportioned among
122 boys. In kafir and milo
$200.00 is ofered in 75 premiums,
ranging from $1.00 to $5.00 each.
In the cotton club $350.00 is di-
vided into 127 premiums ranging
from $1.00 to $15.00 each. In the
girls' canning club $300.00 will be
apportioned into 71 premiums,
ranging from $1.00 to $10.00 each.
This is a fine premium list. The
boys and girls of this^ county
should get busy and win their
share of them.

the busiest people in town, also that our first class mechanics
and up to date machinery are ready to repair every broken

in our shop, a new acetylene welding plant. This is one of
the most up to date plants in America erected for welding
metals 6i all kinds, such as auto crank cases, cylinders, al-
uminum, brass, steel aad even down to th. kitchen stove and
the baby carriage net excepted. To the farmer who. has
broken farm machinery, this plant is indispensible. Come in
and view our plant and give us your patronage, for which
we thank you.
