wond more heaven-like.
The success of business depends
much on the "drive and .push" you put
into it. Continual efforts count. Spas-
modic flurries soon expire, and he
who relinquishes his grasp a particle
will lose more in a month than three
months booming will make up. Keep
things moving and judicious advertis-
ing will do it, and we offer you the
Star as the best medium in the county
and Southwest Oklahoma.
It is not worth while to hate each
other. This is our advice, and like
salvation it's free. Try it during 1911.
WHAT DO YOU THINK
OF OUR TOWN?
Well, that is a pretty direct ques-
tion, and one, too, which might be
answered in a great variety of ways.
But a modest opinion concerning the
question, and from one expects to
make this his home, may possibly be
read with some interest by citizens.
Our town is indeed, "beautiful for
situation." Nature seems to have done '
her utmost in creating a fine site for
a city of genuine worth and enduring
progress. It would thus seem that Na-
ture must have designed this parti-
cular locality for a noble and high-
minded ciass of citizens. Nature, in
tais respect has evidently met with
a genuine response. Everey town or
c..y has an individuality, a type of its
own, and. uuis attracts citizens to a
great extent, at least, we think tois
is true.
The people here are observed to be
thoughtful, kind, sympathetic and
helpful to one another. And, as the
Pcstum man is wont to say, "There's
a reason." This is pre-eminently a
city of homes. The very atmosphere
of things imparts to one a restful
feeling, a thoughtful spirit, and all is
conducive to the development and
growth of the higher ideas.
In speaking of our town as a city
cf homes, however we do not mean to
say that .1 is not also piace of substan
tial business interests. By no means!
