reasonable and the school will remain in
session continuously without interrupt-

the school is the individual instruction |
which is given to every student, thus
making it convenient for persons to en-
ter at any time, and enabling each to
progress as rapidly as contestant with
thoroughness, no one being ret arded by
others less apt. Another most import-
ant feature is its association with the
Nat ional Accountant and Stenoprapher's

graduates are procured. Through the
medium of this bureau every worthy

The recent openin-jB of public land
to settlement have shown the folly of
uur present system of racing for claim*
The manses are disappointed, and the
successful ones are speculators, often
too poor to deyelope land. Home
thoughts have suggested themselves
that seem worthy of bciup adopted into
the future policy of tho government in
opening more land.
First poverty iB not desirable in nuy
form there is too much of il now in
Oklahoma.
Mecotul, shirkiug the burdens of tax-
ation for five or seven years is not con-
ducive to moral integrity and no hon-
est American citizen should be willing
to Bccept the opportunity to evade his
share of social burden which exempt
homesteads otter.
Third, the average farmer does bet-
ter with forty acres than with a hun-
dred aud sixty.
Fourth: the first takers of land arc
not t he holders of it any length of
time but give place J to men who have
moans to develop the land and hold it.
It would seem that all public land
should now be reserved aud when dis-
posed of sold to the highest bidder
that all townsites should bo, located by
the government and more restricted in
area than they have l>een heretofore iu
Oklahoma.
That the quantity of land held by
one person be limited to 40 or SO acres.
This arrangement would .bring men
of saving habits and a horded surplus
into the country, wouljl double the pop-
ulation in the same area, would bring
more acres into tillage iu less time,
wonld make all laud claimed at once
taxable, aud thus do away with the
horde of sharks aud thriftless follow
who evade taxation and throw all the
burden of roads and bridges, schools
and governmeutal expenses upon the
cities anil such neighbors as chance to
have some personal property. It is un-
pleasant to speak unwelcome truths, to
lace a mud mob and oppose tliem iu
their ignorant demands, but the great
evil of the American government is the
power of the ignorant pauper. Tho
wearist tramp whose most delightful
home iB the box car. nameless, aimless,
voluntarily idle, is by our institutions
the peer and political equal of the
wealthiest, most stable citizen, whose
whole heart, energy and wealth are
beneficient elements in his community.
The power, commonsense and wis-
dom of thisbeueficient citizen is neu-
tralized by the ballot of *the aimless
spendthrift mendicant tramp. The1
people will call a halt by-and-Dy when
they have had ruin enough from Li-
cense, misnamed Liberty. Squatter
sovereignity, claim holding without
taxation, and broad acres uncultivated
while thousands starve these are mat.
ters to be mended.
Let us hare a street railway.
Mr Fritzgerald's offer is fair, why
not accept it.
What are we going to do about that
4th of July celebration. (lullirie
d'oould certainly celebrate.

"C. I. Hood ti Co., Lowell, Mass.:
"Gentlemen: It gives me pleasure to certify
to the efficacy of Hood's Sarsaparilla In thecaso
of my father, who has suffered for years with
Heart Disease and Catarrh
In the head. The former grew worse every
day, and especially at night time. When he
would lie down a curious feeling would rise
around hit heart and his pulse would stop beat-
ing for seconds. He could breathe well, but all
the air he could Inhale did not seem to relieve
him. He would have to get up out of bed and
stir round until It wore off. We became alarmed,
and our friends said he would not live a year.
The family physician prescribed several reme-
dies, but all to no avail. Finally a physician ad-
vised him to take Hood's Sarsaparilla. He did
so, and before he had taken one bottle realized
that It was helping liim. He has taken over
four bottles now, and Is not bothered any more
with heart spells. He can sleep sound as a
baby. He does not have any more trouble
with the catarrh, and

There is more Catarrh iu this section

put together, and until the last few years
was supposed to be incurable. For a
