The Jasper Messmore house,
now occupied by Robert Gully of
The Dixie Store, was struck in
four places and set on fire. On-

vented the building from burn-

It is reported that a number
~f cattle were killed, just across
the river east of town, but we
unp.ble to learn as to whom
they belonged.
The rain has put the ground in
fire, shape for fall plowing and
farmers are now getting ready
for "a big crop of wheat.

precinct respond with a proper
delegation to the county conven-
tion. Let the democracy of
Greer county send a full delega-
tion to the State Convention.
Without the aid of each and ev-
ery precinct in the county, the
work of selecting delegates- to
the state convention will be ma-
terially hampered.
After the delegates to the
county convention are elected,
then it will be the duty of the
several chairmen and secretar-
ies of each precinct caucus to
sign and deliver credentials to
delegates so selected. THIS IS
IMPORTANT. Let us have a
harmonious coming together,
for the good of our party and
the people of the entire state.

The home of Lee Muse, just
south of the depot, was totally
destroyed by fire Sunday night.
The family were absent at the
time, and when parties attracted
by the blaze reached the scene,
the house was falilng in. The
building and contents are a total
loss, as nothing whatever was
saved.
The building was owned by
The family were just sitting
down to supper when a message
was received stating that Mr.
Muse's sister living south of
town, was not expected to live
through the night. They left
hurriedly for her home but
found her better than reported.
It was during their absence that
the house caught fire and was
destroyed.

the assembly room of the Court
House in Mangum, Oklahoma, at
10:30 o'clock a. m., Saturday,
September 5th, 1914.
I respectfully urge the mem-
bers of said committee to meet
promptly. This is an important
meeting. You will elect a new
chairman and secretary to serve
the committee for the next two
years and in addition thereto,
transact any other business that
may properly come before said
committee.
