When the heads are melted by the

to the open heads.
The installing of this system re-
quired the skilled labor of four ex-
perts seven* days, although the
pipes, heads and connections were
cut and shaped at Dallas. The cost
of the system was $2500, but the
difference in the insurance rate
will pay for the system in five
years. This wholesale company
has this system in five of their
six houses, and operations are go-

LOWRY VISITING SCHOOLS.
I Supt. Lloyd R. Lowry is spend-
ing the December month visiting
the schools of Jackson county, ex-
cepting Saturdays and Mondays,
on which days the business of his
office confines him.
Last Friday he visited toe
headrick school, finding that in-
stitution, which is superintended
by Fred McCarroll, to be in excel-
lent condition. They offer four
years of high school work there
this year, and will add another in-
structor after this semester. The
Headrick school has made up 110
for the relief of the Belgians. The
Duke school has also made up the
sum of' $8.85 for the same cause.
Altus schools some time ago made
up a purse of $37 for the children
of stricken Europe, but these oth-
er amounts before mentioned are
j to be spent in buying flour for the
1 "flour ship". Supt. Lowry, alone
will send one barrel.
