REV. JENNINGS
TO WOODWARD
Rev. Jno. W. Jennings, for-
merly pastor of the Baptist
church here, and at Frederick,
but for the past two years pastor
of the Baptist church at Walter,
has resigned his pastor-
ate at Walter, and accepted a
call of the Baptist church at
Woodward.
The people will find, in Rev.
Jennings, a church builder, not
only in the size of the congrega-
tion, but also in church property.
He is a fine church organizer,
and has but little trouble in rais-
ing money for church purposes;
he always heads the list with a
snug sum.

Their motto is: "Fair with the
lessees and square with the
school children of the state."
Mr. Butler is a newspaper man
and made this office a pleasant
call Tuesday afternoon. They
are now at work in the eastern
part of the county.
Public Library
A number of the good women
of Altus have organized a public
library in the court house, in the
room formerly occupied as the
county court room, where they
are assembling books, periodi
cals and papers for the use of
those who visit the library room
This is a great work and the
good ladies are to be compli-
mented for their work, and our
people should assist them by Riv-
ing them books, etc. Help them
to establish a library second to
none in any city of the state-

his preaching to the members of
the church, wno, if they will live
| up to his teachings, will have a
