Wheat Ntde 31 Bushels Per Acre
Where has tbe beat wheat yield
come from this season? From the
land mixed with sand, Stevens and
Towner being next to the sand hills.
Haywood, the engineer, and Floyd
separator-tender, made a run of six
bushels per minute while threshing
Stevens' winter wheat, which yielded
31 bushels pe* acre. Both men are
arranging for luxuries from their pro-
lific yields, which was larger than
they expected.—Tyrone Observer.
Tbe Hekai.ii said some time ago that
we would have some 30 bushel wheat
in the county this year and a lot of
them thought we had developed Into
a first class student of the traits and
characteristics of Ananias. Now, we
are going to crow some. The best
yield we have heard of about here has
been U bushels, but the quality was
first class.
