We understand that Edgar Burk-
hart has gone out of the garage busi-
ness and has sold his car.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cardnan, of Lib-
e*al, Kansas spent last Saturday night
at the E. E. Silsbey home.
Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Phelps enter-
tained something over one hundred
guests Saturday evening, ice cream
and cake were served. The occasion
was in honor of Mrs. S. J. Burkhart,
mother of Mrs. Phelps, it being her
birthday. Most of the guests left at
a late hour wishing Mrs. Burkhart
many happy returns of the day. On
account of the rain many had to stay
