A call meeting of citizens of
Cushing was held Monday night,
which was quite largely attended.
Some did not know the objeot of
the meeting and were there to
wateh developemenrs, which were '
not slow in coming, however, and ^

of the colored population of old
town. The agreed opinion was
that the community should be
purged of objecti inable persons,
white or black, and the ways and
means of accomplishing this
