IN this simple machine, as above illustrated, wUl be found one of the beat of friends for
the busy housewife during this hot, dry, dusty weather, when it is almost impossible
to keep the clothes clean and free from grease and dirt, which seem to accumulate from
everywhere upon the clothes, and then the excessive prespiration stains are hard to take
§ out of the clethes by means of the common wash board, aud besides it is too much hard
0 work for the busy wife
SNow husbards, what is the need of making the good wife slave and rub away at
that old wash board till her hands are about wore out simply to make you appear neat ana
clean. Don't make her do it; buy her a washing machine and thus save both the wife and
5 the clothes. Let us he'p you in the choioe of a machine; let ua recommend to you the
• PENDULUM WASHER for it is noted for it's good qualities. Three of its good points are
® that it is, 1st, easy to run; 2nd. it does the best of work; 3rd, it is easy to handle. Don t
4 take our word for it; investigate for yourself; look at all the other brands then let us snow
Q you the Pendulum, watch it work, then try it in your own home and be convinced that it is
0 the best machine that can be bought at the right price. For sale at—

Stillwater has again this year
stolen the Cushing reunion dates
for their county fair. Guess we
can stand it if they can, however.
C. A. Melton has been appoint*
ed county probation officer at
$600 per annum, which is simply
another case of democratic ex*
travagance.
The mayor, county and city
superintendents of public health
have all found it necessary to
deny that at Stillwater there is a
prevailance of typhoid fever in
that town.
According to a Kansas paper
the new anti-oigarette law of
that state is giving entire satis,
faction to the smokers. The
same thing may be truthfully
said of Oklahoma's anti-cigarette
law. And neither do we hear
much complaint fr >m the drink*
ers about the anti-booze law, so
it may be taken for granted that
it is giving entire satisfaction to
the drinkers. But who gets the
revenue?
The Price is the same, the service better
