Rev. Sam P. Jones of Georgia
died rather suddenly Monday
morning noar Little Rock. Ark..
and with his death passed away
a distinctive member of the cler-
gy, and while we never was an
admirer of hia style of preaching
and are still of the same opinion,
yet he undoubtedly waa a power
for good among many classes of
people, and his fame as a preach-
er will live in the annala of re-
ligious history.

Court House Bonda.
The county commiaaioners of
this county by a unanimous vote
have submitted the question of
tsauing bonda in the sum of
$50,000 for the purpose of build*
ing a court house and jail at Cor-
dell. Thia will be voted on at the
regular November election and
has already excited some inter-
est in ths minds of the people,
both pro and eon. Personally, j *
