Historic Vermont Tavern.
Of the eight taverns in Benningtoi
Yt.. that entertained men and beasi
prior to and after the revolution, onlj

tavern, is now standing.
This tavern was built about 1769 by
Daniel Harmon and for nearly a cen

pied, exccpt as a storehouse, and Is
