A Kansas City grocery man
struck the country around Eufaula
a few weeks baok. and secured
some very rich orders. It seems
that some of his customers became
•uspioious that something about
the soheme wu out of balance, and
submitted their bills to t oompari-
•on with local prices. One man
who had made an order amounting
to a fraotion over thirty-eight dol-
lars found that he could have filled
the same bill at home at a saving
of over fifteen dollars. The Jour-
nal took the matter up and made
it so warm for the fellow that he
Rev. P. C. Atkips was in town,

Another Rise Coming.
The Muskogee Daily Phoenix
of Thursday morning says:
"Officials of the Chicago, Rock
Island and Paoifio and Atohison,
Topaka and Santa Fe railroads fit
Oklahoma City, were yesterday ad-
vised by wire of another big rise
ooming down the South Canadian
river from Colorado. It is hinted
that the flood will be even greater
than the one whioh has just subsi-
ded. Bridgemen in the employ df
the various railways along the
South Canadian were instructed
yesterday afternoon to get all loose
material out of the way' and to ar-
range for the best possible protec-
tion of the property. The work of
repairing the bridge at Puroell was
finished ywterday and trains are
running through to points in
Texas."

be Early Brother*
Contractor Thompson and his
