A CLEVER PARTY
The Twentieth Century Self
Culture Club has finished half
i of its years work, and in accord-
ance with the custom of the club
since its organization, the mem
bers having the fewest credits
entertain the more fortunate
members. This year the form
of intertainmer.t was distinctly
different from any other year.
The guests expecting to
be entertaif quite game
of rook, and instead found them-
selves in the midst of an old
time country school, with Mrs.
E. L. Fiells as school ma'am.
The school children, who looked
very fetching in their short
dresses, were Mesdames T. C.
Straw. R. J. Evans, G. L. Dod-
sou 1). f). Dumbleton, Frank
Phillips, and the "boys" were
Mesdames C. B. Pett 'rson, M.
M. Terrell anil Miss Adarae
Dumbleton. Each pupil per-
formed a "stunt" and some of
them were \^>ry clever and fun-
ny. Mrs Eells, as teacher, was
remarkably good and caused
much laughter by her costume
and the manner in which she
conducted her school. Kite in
the afternoon dainty defresh-
ments were served. The affair
was given at the home of Mrs.
M. M. Terrell. *

special was absolutely free, a
fact which seems to us was
prompted by a very kind and
generous motive.
