from which she was driven by uorvous
collapse has attracted attention. "They !
were greatly overcrowded, especially in
the primary department of which 1 had

of two teachers. The strain was too
much for my nerves and two years ago
the crisis came.
I was prostrated mentally and phy-

expected to be able to resume work. It"
seemed tome then that I was the most
miserable woman on earth. I was tor-
tured by nervous headaches, worn out by
inability to sleep, and had so little
blood that I was as white as chalk.
"After my active life, it was hard to
bear idleness, and terribly discouraging
to keep paying out the savings of years
for medicines which did me no good."
"How did yon got back your health ?"
"A bare chance ami a lot of faith led
me to a cure. After I had suffered for
many months, and when I was on the
very verge of despair, X happened to read
an account of some cures effected by
Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. The state
luents were so convincing that I some-
how fult assured that these pills would
help me. Most people, I think, buy only
one box fur a trial, but I purchased six

BUSYBODIES VS. TRUTH.
Here Are The Facts™Judge For Yourself.
Busybodies who see in success only falsity, who, without making an effort to
Inform themselves, blatantly cry offense against honesty and truth—seem to forget
that a slur against Dr. Pierce's well-known non-alcoholic family remedies is a slur
against the intelligence of thousands of clear-thinking American women who
know they have been helped and cured by Dr. Tierce's Favorite Prescription. It
is not a "patent medicine" in the true meaning of the word—it is simply the
favorite remedy which Dr. Pierce used in an extended practice for the treatment
of the diseases of women.
A name for honesty and square dealing is better
than great riches. Fraud is a bubble that soon
bursts. Dr. R. V. Pierce has always been known to
epeak the truth—his famous medicines are founded on the rock of public approval
and have thousands of truthful testimonials as to their ability to cure diseases
for which they are recommended.
No man ever lost a prospective customer through
telling the truth. In the long run Dr. Pierce believes
the truth will prevail and he is therefore not afraid to

Big Pay for English Judges.
It Is considered an essential condi-
tion of the English court system that
the Judges shall be absolutely indepen-
dent financially; that their salaries
shall be so large and provision for
their future shall upon their retire-
ment be so ample they need at no
time of their service have any mone-
tary anxiety. There are now no few-
er than eight ex-judges in receipt of
total pensions amounting to $121,-
CC2.50 a year. A judge who continues
on the bench after completing fifteen
years' service really does his work for
$7,299.75 a year, the difference be-
tween his salary and his pension. The
lord chancellor is entitled to a pension
of $24,S32.50 a year for life, however
short his tenure of the chancellorship.

different forms of nervousness, mild

overcome by proper food, sufficient
