that the death of the lad was acci-
dental. He was but 24 years old
and there was no cause so far as
can be learned why he should do
himself any harm. He was promi-
nent and popular among the society
people of the city and had spent the
day in company with some of his
friends. He is said to have been in
the best of humor all day and to
have laid plans for extensive en-
gagements for the coming week as
well as for a hunt and winter out-
ing in the Ozarks. The family and
relatives are greatly concerned
about the strange manner of the
young man's death, but no one
seems to suspect foul play. The
theory that he was idling with his
revolver after retiring is advanced
by some of his friends who know
about his interest in firearms.
