Gentlemen: We, the undersigned
Hoard of Appraisers, appointed by res-
olution of your honorable body to
appraise and apportion the several
lots and tracts of land chargeable with
the cost thereof, the benefits result-
ing thereto on account «>f paving and
otherwise improving that part of
South Independence Avenue from the
north line of Cherokee Avenue to the
north line of Wabash Avenue and
Cherokee Avenue from the west line
of Grand Avenue to the east line of
Independence Avenue, in the aggre-
gate sum of $:i4.082.7(1, do hereby cer-
tify that we met in the office of the
City Clerk In said <'|ty on the 14th
day of November, 1910, and organized
as a board of appraisers and selected
Guy H. Manatt as chairman and C. E.
Mehew as secretary thereof; that we,
nt said time severally took and sub-
scribed an oath to make true and Im-
partial appraisement to the several
lots and tracts of laud designated In
the resolution by which we were ap-
pointed of the benefits resulting
thereto, as aforesaid; that within five
days after being notified of our ap-
pointment, we proceeded to appraise
and apportion to said sevei'al lots and
tracts of land the benefits resulting
thereto on account of the making of
said Improvements; that in making
said appraisement and apportionment,
we first apportioned to each quarter
block Its due proportionate charge, ac-
cording to the amount and cost of
work performed upon the abutting
streets and other public places. In-
cluding street Intersections and alley
crossings; which respective amounts so
appraised, apportioned and adopted
we find just, equitable and accurate
and that the several respective quar-
ter-blocks are benefitted to the ex-
tent of the respective amounts ho ap-
portioned; that after such subdivisions
into quarter block districts we ap-
prlased and apportioned to the several
lots and tracts of land therein the re-
spcctlvc amounts set opposite the de-
scription of said lots ami tracts of
land contained in the statement here-
to attached, marked "Kxhlblt A," and
made a part hereof, which respective
amounts we find equitable and lust,
and according to the benefits accru-
ing to said several lots and tracts of
la nd.
