There will be a complete
change in the facutly of both the
Crowder and Canadian schools
exepet the Siiperenteiidents in
each place. None ot the assistant
teachers in either school will be
applicants for their old places.
This is to be regretted. An en-
tire change of teachers means a

better salaries and so will accept.
No other towns of their size in
Oklahoma have better buildings
or better schools than lias these
two towns located in Canadian

The spirit of educational advan-
tage is high in this part ot Pitts-
burg county. The people are

Quite a crowd of taxpayers !
and citizens were present and ;
took great interest in the ;
meeting. ()ur new council is
starting out under the most
favorable circunistances. I he
money spent on improve-
ments of streets, crossings and
city pond meets with hearty
approval ol a large majority
of the people. On May I,
191U. the town had $1 tJ{S.4!l
on hand. Many new im-
provements are needed and
the present council will wisely,
justly and economically spend
the city's money. Repre-
sentative men were elected to
the present council and the
people have confidence in their
judgment. May the dove of
peace hover over their meet-
ings and deliberations and
may we see many wise im-
provements made.
