roihmt county commissioner of dis-
trict No. 2. is working on a pro-
ject to blacktop the roads to the
cemeteries in his district.
This v il! include the City aud Rock
cemeteries the burial ground of the
Lutheran church and the Brinkman
and Willow cemeteries. Tlie roads
will lx approximately 41- miles
long.
Carothers said he had talked to
many of the constituents in his dis-
trict and a large number had come
to him. He Ixlieves this is one ol
the rnot necoessary improvements.
Hie road are grave lod but in rai-
nv sjell it is almost impossible for
the cars to reach the burial areas.
City cemetery road would include
1j miles of blaclttop branching off
from Highway 6. one mile south of
Granite. Ro. k cemetery leaves No.
( highway in the Ozark community
and covers only one mile. The Lu-
theran ground can be reached by-
two different routes one Waving No.
6 highway two miles south of Gra-
nite and going one mile west with
the blacktop. The other route starts
from tlx- George Ktehr farm west
of Granite and includes 2 miles of
regd.
The distance to reach Brinkman
and Willow cemeteries is only a
short d'stsnce and eomes witliin the
4 -.' mile etiniate by Carothers.
The county workmen will Jay the
road bed of gravel and a blacktop

to Oklahoma City Sunday to visit
her father C.E. Hunter who has
