FIREMEN'S CARNIVAL, NOVEMBER 18 TO 23
The coming of the groat Parker show
the week or Nov. 18, under the auspices
of the Hobirt Fire department will
mark one of the greatest iimusement
weeks in the history of Hobart. It is
almost ueeless to tone-ti p space in stat-
ing that the great I'aikei: show is in a
class by itself and the high class nmus -
ment enterprise of i.ls ki d in 'he world.
Unlike a -great many s ■ called carnival
companys wh.j may want to trav.1 with
them for a few stands and then go some-
where els -. .All ofi.be attractions fur-
nished by Col. Parki-r are owned and
controlled by him and a u built at his
large factory ui Abiline, Kansas Should
he buiii.' .in iUtriH-;;ou that does not
meet with liio ^ pioval nl' the Y ublic all
he has to do i i to shij) it to thn fac'ory
and have it rebuilt. In this way ho has
always been able to keep his attraction
free from anything sug;e;; ivc and to
please the pub'ic at the same time.
Another thing that will b,> noticable
when the company arrives that all of
the ladies and gentlemen connected wfth
the company is nbovo 11.<* average that
travels with o'her companies of like na
ture. Nothing but they very best artists
in their resp etiv - lim-s are engaged and
they all reC'iv:/ a salar.v, every Tuesday,
large enough to present themselves as
ladies and gentleman and should a black
sheep through mistake stray into the
flock he soon finds i hat he is not in his
or her class and the great Parker show
is no place f .r thetu. One thing that
will attract a great d/al nf attention
during the Stay of the company here is
the baby lions in the trained wild ani-
mal showin this exhibition will be found
eight of the lit le kittens a: d they are
very playful, cutting all kinds of capers
from morning until evening. All of the
ladies and children will be allowed to pet
the little oieaturi s which is -aid to give
good luck to the boys for seven years
and a.sure sign that the girls wdl never
become old maids, so girls here is your
chance if you are near the border.
Many wonderful exhibitions will be
presented during the week and every
body is looking forward for six gala days
and nights, Nov. 18th to 23d at this fire-
man's festival.
