SUMMONS
E. S. Cannon died at his home
on the West side of Hollis, on
Sunday morning February 7th.
at the age of fifty-three years.
He had lived in Hollis for the
past four year*^ Mr. Cannon
had been sick for several months
and death came as a relief to his
tireiand worn out budy. The
remains were hipped to Antioch
111., for interment, accompanied
by his wife and one daughter.

Several of the Dryden people
attended the teacners' meeting
Friday and Saturday at Hollis.
All report a nice time.
Rev. I. F. Harmon and wife"
were Hollis visitors Tuesday.
Prof. Morris organized a moon-
light school at the school house
Monday night. Sixteen have
enrolled up to the present time.

Mrs. Flojd Robertst of Gould
visited her parents at Dryden
last week.;
S. Moore and P. W. N?nce
made a trip to Mangum; Tues-
day returning Wednesday.
Miss Pearl McGraw was a
Hollis visitor \v ednesday.
Rev. Moon preached an inter-
esting sermon Suuda.. morning
at the Methodist church..
Rev. Nelson filled the pulpit
Sunday night.
Sunday school every Sunday
morning at ten o'clock. Your

Judge Argowas holding court
Monday and judging from the
crowd around the court room the
case must have been an interest-
ing one.
J. M. Coley and C. W. Gilli-
land motored to Childress last
Friday in the Coley car. The
going was good until the front,
wheels of the car were smashed
while traveling over the prairies
of Texas. Mr. Gilliland phened
for a car to come after him. Mr.
Coley stayed with his crippled
car until new wheels could be
secured and arrived at home one
day later.
J, W. Lamer, traveling sales-
man for the Cudahy Packing Co,
spent Saturday and Sunday with
his broteer-in-law, A. A. Baldwin
and ramily.
The Literary Society organiz-
ed by tn« members of the Young
Peoples Missionary Society of the
Methodist church will meet next
Friday evening at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Groves. An
interesting program has been
prepared and all young people in-
terested are cordiall invited.

the above entitled cause in the
office of the Court Clerk of Har-
