with all teachers present and the
largest attendance In the history of
the school Quite a few patrons of
the school were present and The start
was made with prospects for the
most successful term ever held in the
city
One of the most hopeful signs is
the large attendance in the higher
grades this year Usually during va-
cation a number of pupils are lured
away from finishing high school by at-
tractive salaraies ’ No young man or
woman should permit such a thing
to prevent them from finishing After
years will prove it to be a very cost-
ly mistake No sacrifice is too great
to make in order to obtain an educat-
ion Some changes have been made in
the faculty since last term and there-
fore a few of the teachers are new to
us but from the manner in whlcn
they have begun we feel safe in say-
ring that every grade is in charge of
experienced able teachers

Juct the other day one of Seminole’s very prominent citizens
when confronted with the two thirds majority argument said:
“Wells we can’t win it but we can keep on ragging you Wewoka
Devils” - -
That shows the spirit in which this fight was brought
id it fair to place the expense of this election on the people
of this county in order that Seminole may “get gven” -with some
people at Wewoka whom she dislikes?
Remember that the men who hold this election are sent from
other counties and this means an extraordinary expense The
law says that this election expense must be borne by the county
It w ill cost thousands of dollars and will take money that the
county needs for other purposes- Would it not be better to have
epent this money oi t improving some of our roads ?
What is the reason? Seminole wants to “keep ragging the
Wewoka devils” Mr Voter at the same time she is “ragging”
other people who do not live in Wewoka Mr Veter regardless
of whom she is “ragging” you pay the bill
